Week Five - Blog: Video Review (Architecture)

1. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
The architecture video shows us how with each building there is alot of math and strategy behind the design of these buildings. With each building they must take into consideration wind, gravity percipitation and even earthquakes so for the most parts these buildings a are stronger than they look. They also focus on concrete and how they  get skyscrapers to stand so high.
Mathematics of architecture is basically exactly how it sounds. I already knew that with each design there is an equation and they use math in creating these buildings so this video just reconfirmed what i already knew.

2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
Its basically the same thing but it gives us alittle mnore depth and adds the visual aspect to it which makes it more infromative for me.
3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of Architecture?
The films are informative very interesting and not to long to the point where i get bored with it. The show visuals helping us understand what is going on. Because it helps a person who has no knowledge of what architecture is.
4. From the group of four that you had a choice: Why did you choose that film?
I chose the architecture film because i have a little backround in it and my major is Mechanical engineering which go hand in hand. Also my uncle is an architect at the smithsonian in washington dc. I have always been .intrigued bybuildings and drawing and helping design them because ive been around it my whole life
