The Mystical North: Spanish Art from the 19th Century to the Present
lol I picked them randomly, i had no prior knowledge of any of these videos. This video provided some background information of the fascist movement, and the brutality of the Spanish Civil War, and the psychological effects it posed for artists who lived through it.  The video started with Goya, and it was interesting to see his Black Paintings, which is a gruesome painting, was hanging over his dining room table.  I also thought it was interesting to learn that Picasso donated much of his private things to the city of Barcelona before he died. His piece 'Les Demoiselles d' Avignon" shows the influence of African Art by his use of the mask in his painting. Northern Spain has produced some of the world’s most celebrated artists, including Picasso, Miró, Dalí—and Goya, who foreshadowed modern painting with his dark political consciousness.  The problems that overwhelmed Spain as the 20th century came and moved  forward.

The title caught my eye on this one it kind of remiinded me of sunday in the square  in downtown buffalo.Georges Seurat produced, in La Grande Jatte. People discuss and want to know what the fishing woman really fishing for and what do the monke revealed by X-rays to be a last-minute add and the luminous little girl symbolize. Its proportions are all messed up. This video basically critisizes and scrutinizes this painter and his works and shows us a little more than the book would. It gave me an in depth look at other peoples views and how they critisize others works
